Episode. 37
DAISUKE SAKAGUCHI
With his passion for both classical artwork and pop art, London-born tattoo artist Daisuke Sakaguchi creates pieces that captivate his Japanese heritage, fused with his London upbringing.
Each piece is designed bespoke for the client. Daisuke’s signature style can be recognised from his unique black and grey pieces, especially in his “Shodo” (Japanese brush art) tattoos, through to his bold colour work.
For both custom work and collectible flash, Daisuke hand-draws each piece (never computer-generated) and, no matter how small or large, he celebrates the client’s personality within every tattoo.
Since exhibiting and his artwork being sold in the 2012 Fabergé Exhibition, Daisuke has showcased his artwork at Sotheby's London Gallery, Colette in Paris, Comme des Garçons' Dover Street London Flagship Store, Hotel Café Royal, and has had his work auctioned at the National Portrait Gallery and the Savoy London.
Daisuke’s past jewellery creations have been worn by Rihanna, Linda Evangelista, Elton John, David Furnish, Kelly Osbourne, and the Beckhams, along with producing exclusive murals for David Coulthard, Microsoft, and the London Motor Show.
